Shop Local, Eat Global
Branding and promotional campaign for a new series of markets inspired by Asian night markets.
I chose to name the event series Night Owl, with the foresight of creating a distinctive mascot style icon that would add a more memorable aspect to the visual identity.
Both the colour scheme and scattered formatting of info were intended to capture the feeling of Asian street markets, and Chinese translations of keywords were also included in the artwork to encourage potential guests familiar with the concept to attend too.
Throughout the campaign simple bold slogans were used to give an instant idea of what to expect on the night. These slogans were combined with a string of strap lines helping to emphasise the benefits of shopping and eating at Night Owl rather than elsewhere; the key words being authentic, local & independent.
